God bless Dr. Autrey! Dr. Glass, my Baptist mentor at First Baptist Church, Texas City, often tells stories of Dr. Autrey’s grandfather. Students would actually stand outside the door to his class to listen in rapt attention when C.E. Autrey would “go to preaching.”
