  1. Looks like Bob wrote a good one! On a related note, I wonder if Anthony Weiner’s mistake isn’t not being athletic enough to take his clothes off for ESPN’s magazine. Apparently it’s okay to pose nude for the masses but icky to do it on an individual basis. I realize there is a greater difference than this–he was definitely being lewd and breaking his marriage vows, among other things–but both are in the same neighborhood. Why is our culture rightly shocked at one and enthusiastically supportive of the other?

    1. Great point. I think the culture would locate the rightness or wrongness in the “desire” of the recipient–do people want to see those images or not? What if the Weiner correspondents wanted to receive his communications? Never a man more aptly named.
